Gloria Trevi will accept a Gold Artist award at the upcoming HEAT Latin Music Awards. The ceremony is scheduled for November 5 in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. This location marks the first time the event has taken place in Mexico. Previous editions were held in the Dominican Republic and Colombia.
Diana Montes, the CEO of the HEAT Latin Music Awards, announced the special recognition in a media release. She defined the Gold Artist title as a designation for a superstar who wrote their own history in Latin music and continues to do so. Montes noted that Trevi recently released a song called Intensamente with her sons, Angel and Armando Gomez. The singer is also preparing a new album. The award celebrates both her past work and her upcoming projects.
Trevi’s career spans more than 35 years. She joins a list of previous Gold Artist recipients that includes Juanes, Ricardo Montaner, Carlos Vives, and Nicky Jam. The ceremony will also honor Puerto Rican singer Olga Tano. Tano has released 25 albums and numerous singles that have shaped Latin culture.
Fan voting will determine the winners in each category. Karol G currently leads the nomination list. Other artists with multiple nominations include Bad Bunny, Carlos Rivera, and Shakira. The awards recognize various achievements in the Latin music industry.
The event serves as a major gathering for the Latin music community. It brings together artists, producers, and fans in a single venue. The selection process relies entirely on public input rather than a jury panel. This approach allows listeners to directly influence the final results.
