Operators across North Texas have scheduled 215 distinct Halloween activities for the final eight days of October. These venues span six cities, including The Colony, Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Fort Worth, and Dallas. The programs range from free community gatherings to ticketed evening excursions.

The Colony venues lead the early weekend offerings. Stewart Creek Park hosts a free Family Fright Fest on Saturday, October 24, featuring hayrides and booth-based trick-or-treating. Truck Yard operates an annual Halloween party on the same day across all six of its Dallas-Fort Worth locations, including the new Richardson outpost. That event includes a limited-time spooky drink menu, costume contests, and fortune tellers.

Frisco offers a dense schedule for families and adults. The PGA District hosts Halloween Par-Tee, which includes pumpkin putting on The Dance Floor and trick-or-treating from decorated golf carts. The Frisco Heritage Center presents Heritage Halloween with decorated historic buildings, crafts, and a fortune teller. Frisco Square hosts Trick or Treat the Square from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, offering carnival games, inflatables, and horse-drawn wagon rides along Coleman Boulevard.

Plano events concentrate in the downtown area. The R.I.P. Fest occupies the Downtown Plano Arts District and Haggard Park on Saturday with carnival rides, live performances, and themed cocktails from Fillmore Pub. Legacy Hall hosts a free Trick-or-Treatery Halloween Parade on Tuesday, October 27. That event begins with a screening of Hotel Transylvania and continues with a costume parade for kids and pets.

McKinney venues maintain operations through the end of the month. The Yard runs a Halloween Haunt through October 31, serving a seasonal menu that includes a Bobbing for Apples Old Fashioned and the S'mortuary, a vodka-spiked cold brew that benefits Cody's Friends Dog Rescue. The Stix Icehouse holds a free Trunk or Treat with Macaroni Kid on Thursday, October 29. The Spooktacular Brews and Boos Walk takes place on Halloween, sending costumed guests with a taster cup and map to more than 20 beverage stops in Historic Downtown McKinney.

Fort Worth and Dallas offer large-scale public events. The Fort Worth Zoo runs Boo at the Zoo from Friday through Sunday. Admission includes six treat coupons per ticket or membership, access to a pumpkin patch, strolling characters, keeper chats, live animal presentations, a train ride, and a carousel. Klyde Warren Park in Dallas holds its sixth-annual Trick-or-Treating in the Park on Saturday. That free event includes children's book giveaways from Book Drive for Kids and an outdoor screening of Toy Story 5.

Additional options exist in Celina and Grapevine. Downtown Celina hosts the Beware! of the Square festival on Saturday. The event features trick-or-treating, a haunted manor, a kids' zone, Cirque sideshows, a pumpkin decorating contest, and more than 60 market vendors. The Grapevine Vintage Railroad operates the Witches' Brew Train on October 30 and 31. This two-hour round-trip excursion uses vintage 1920s coaches and features Texas craft beer and spooky entertainment.
