The Cincinnati Bengals trailed the Tennessee Titans by 13 points after the first quarter, but they erased that deficit and won in overtime Sunday. Joe Burrow threw five touchdown passes during regulation and added a 9-yard rushing score in the extra period to seal a 43-36 victory.

The game featured three lead changes and a tie in the fourth quarter. Burrow connected with Tee Higgins for an 18-yard touchdown with 1:17 left to make the score 36-all. In overtime, the Bengals drove 70 yards in five plays. Tennessee took possession but failed to secure a first down when Cam Ward threw an incomplete pass to Elic Ayomanor on fourth-and-3.

Burrow completed 33 of 48 passes for 462 yards. He was intercepted three times by Titans safety Amari Hooker. Hooker became the first NFL player to record three interceptions in a single game since Jordan Whitehead of the New York Jets did so in 2023. The last Titans player to achieve that feat was Kevin Byard III in 2016.

Tee Higgins had 10 receptions for 155 yards and two touchdowns. Ja'Marr Chase caught 11 passes for 141 yards and one score. This marked the fourth time since 2021 that both players had 100-yard receiving games in the same contest. Burrow also threw touchdown passes to Mike Gesicki and Jack Endries. Gesicki's 25-yard catch in the fourth quarter extended his streak to five games with a touchdown.

Cincinnati recorded its first safety since 2024 in the third quarter. Demetrius Knight Jr. and Dexter Lawrence tackled Tony Pollard in the end zone to give the Bengals a 23-21 lead with 46 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

Cam Ward completed 26 of 40 passes for 340 yards and two touchdowns for Tennessee. He put the Titans back on top with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Wan'Dale Robinson with 3:42 left. Gunnar Helm then caught a 2-point conversion pass from Ward to give Tennessee a 36-29 advantage. Pollard rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns, giving him five scores in his last two games.

Tennessee entered the game as a 13 1/2-point underdog and played without injured wide receiver Carnell Tate and pass rusher Jeffery Simmons, who was traded to the Chicago Bears on Thursday. The Titans have their bye week next before hosting Jacksonville on Nov. 15. The Bengals will play the Atlanta Falcons in Madrid next Sunday.
