Clippers Host Clarifies Viral Video After Sound Effect Debate

Los Angeles Clippers in-arena host Hannah Cormier responded to questions about a viral video released Thursday.

The clip, which showed Cormier walking away from the camera, contained an audio track that mimicked the sound of flatulence. The video gained widespread attention on social media platforms following its initial upload.

Cormier, who is completing her eleventh season with the Clippers organization and her seventh year serving as the in-arena host and MC, stated that the sound was not produced by her. She identified the uploader of the video as the source of the audio, noting that they added the sound to increase the drama of the clip.

In an exclusive statement to the California Post, Cormier said, “All stars are made of gas, but I’m innocent.” She further elaborated on the incident in an Instagram post, where she displayed a screenshot of the newspaper's report behind her.

During that video, she remarked, “They say any press is good press. I didn’t fart!” She also referenced the common adage that denial implies guilt, stating, “But I know that if you denied it, you supplied it. I really didn’t! That honestly sound like a whoopee cushion fart. Now I’m seeming guilty.”

The Clippers organization has not issued a separate official statement regarding the matter. Cormier continued her regular duties for the team following the release of the video.
