Journey has completed 110 concerts in 2026, a milestone that co-founder Neal Schon says has changed the band's plans for its farewell tour. The guitarist posted the update on Facebook, stating that the group feels "something powerful" has occurred internally.

Schon noted that the current "Evening with Journey" shows run for two and a half hours each night. He described these as the longest performances the band has ever delivered. The extended runtime has brought the members closer together, he wrote, both musically and personally.

The guitarist credited the audience for the shift in momentum. "Our fans have touched our hearts and helped pull us together," Schon wrote. He added that their energy and passion reminded the band members of the shared connection they still feel.

Schon stated that the tour, originally titled "The Final Frontier," now feels more like "The Long Goodbye." He indicated that the band is letting its hearts and the nightly connection with fans guide what comes next. The post included a graphic with the message: "It's not over."

Keyboardist Jonathan Cain recently echoed the sentiment of a prolonged farewell. Cain told UCR that he originally planned to hang it up after the current trek. "When I started the tour I was definitely gonna hang it up, and I still don't know what I want to do moving forward," Cain admitted. He described the turnout as overwhelming and the fans as terrific.

The tour is scheduled to conclude on Nov. 28 in San Francisco. The band has one additional date confirmed for 2027. That performance is set for April 27 at the Stagecoach festival in Indio, Calif.
