Baltimore is finalizing a trade to bring Jacoby Brissett in from Arizona. The move addresses an immediate crisis on the offensive line of the quarterback group.

The Ravens are losing their top two options to injuries. Lamar Jackson returned from a three-week absence last week against the Bills but left after one play. He is now on the injured reserve list with a thumb injury and faces surgery that could end his season. Tyler Huntley, who filled in during Jackson's absence, is expected to miss the rest of the year with a turf-toe injury.

Brissett, 33, was benched in favor of Gardner Minshew this week. This occurred during the Cardinals' 33-30 victory over the Cowboys. The veteran signal caller will join his eighth franchise since entering the league in 2016. He previously played for the Patriots, Colts, Dolphins, Browns, and Commanders before taking over as Arizona's starter in 2025.

The trade is not expected to be completed in time for Baltimore's Week 9 matchup. The team will face the Jaguars in a Thursday Night Football game. Consequently, third-stringer Joe Fagnano will start that contest. The Ravens currently hold a 4-4 record and sit last in the AFC North.

Brissett missed most of Arizona's training camp over a contract dispute. He eventually signed a reworked deal that includes a $15.5 million base salary for the current season. His performance this year includes eight starts. He completed 193 of 305 passes for 1,719 yards. He also threw for 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions while adding 87 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
