Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the Yashar party, is challenging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proposal for new financial systems.

Eisenkot argues that Netanyahu is effectively admitting to economic failure. In a campaign video released on X on Saturday, the former IDF chief stated that the Prime Minister has "destroyed the country." The video opens with the warning that all national funds are at risk. It then plays clips from a previous Channel 10 interview where Netanyahu said Israel must "prepare for an alternative economy" in response to international sanctions.

The central focus of Eisenkot's criticism is the Prime Minister's comments on blockchain technology. Netanyahu told Channel 10 that digital finance would "certainly" be part of his plan. He added, "I've already asked for a plan to be prepared for that." Eisenkot's campaign coined the term "Bibicoin" for the concept. The video asserts that this mechanism would "destroy Israel" and create an economy similar to North Korea and Iran.

The video lists specific sectors that would suffer under this new system. It claims the result would be the end of high-tech, healthcare, and security. Eisenkot's team asked how the global high-tech industry would invest in Israeli companies if digital currency were the only available method. The video urged viewers not to let the Prime Minister burn through national savings.

In a separate post on X, Eisenkot adopted a more personal tone to address the issue. He wrote that Netanyahu admits his policy will lead to international isolation and sanctions that will shake the economy and the market. Eisenkot described this outcome as the collapse of national security.

The exchange has placed Netanyahu's economic contingency planning at the center of the political debate. Eisenkot is using the Prime Minister's own words from the Channel 10 interview as the foundation for his criticism. The former IDF chief frames the alternative financing plan not as a strategic move, but as a necessary step toward economic isolation.
