Lionel Messi will play at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on Sunday, November 1, for the New England Revolution's final home match before the MLS playoffs. The 39-year-old forward has announced his retirement from the Argentine national team, making this visit potentially his last in the state.
The match features two top teams in the Eastern Conference. Inter Miami holds second place with 55 points, while the Revolution sits third with 52 points. The Revolution secured its return to the playoffs for the first time since 2023 in mid-October.
Messi is currently the team's leading scorer with 25 goals and 14 assists in 27 matches this season. His contract with Inter Miami remains in effect through the end of the 2028 season.
The previous meeting between these two clubs resulted in a 1-1 draw in April. Carles Gil scored for New England, while Mexican forward Germán Berterame equalized for Miami.
Messi played his final international match against Benin in Buenos Aires on October 6, following his retirement announcement on August 31. He joins Inter Miami teammates Rodrigo de Paul and Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, who will make his first visit to Foxborough since joining the MLS.
Ticket sales are available online at revolutionsoccer.net/tickets or by phone at 1-877-GET-REVS. The Revolution will play the Philadelphia Union on Saturday before hosting Miami.
Special train service is offered to reduce traffic congestion to the stadium. Fans are advised to purchase tickets in advance due to limited capacity.
